Brian A. Williams has 30 years of experience in investment banking, strategic advisory, and operations. He advises companies, boards, private equity sponsors, and lenders across mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, restructurings, and principal investing. Brian is known for helping clients optimize transaction strategy and timing, enhance operational cash flow, and position businesses for successful outcomes in complex situations.

His experience spans a range of industries, including industrial services, distribution, logistics, transportation, infrastructure-related businesses, and energy. Brian combines deep transaction expertise with hands-on operating leadership, enabling him to deliver practical, value-oriented solutions that align near-term execution with long-term value creation.

Before joining CMA, Brian was Co-Founder, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Cretic Energy Services, where he led business plan development, capital formation, startup execution, and rapid growth. He successfully scaled the company to more than $50 million in revenue and a $20 million EBITDA run-rate within its first year of operations, demonstrating his ability to drive operational performance alongside strategic growth initiatives.

Previously, Brian led investment banking practices at Macquarie Capital and Tristone Capital and served on the executive committee that oversaw the sale of Tristone to Macquarie. Over the course of his career, he has advised on more than $6 billion in mergers and acquisitions, $4 billion in capital raises, and $4 billion in restructurings.

Brian currently serves as Chairman of Transportation Insights, a leading logistics company, and previously served as a director of United Vision Logistics, a Gulf Coast transportation services provider.

He holds a B.S.in Industrial Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a FINRA-registered representative.
