Evan Tomaskovic is a Managing Partner of CMA and Chief Executive Officer of Carl Marks Securities LLC, bringing more than 30 years of investment banking experience to his clients. A seasoned advisor in mergers and acquisitions and financings, Evan offers a unique combination of transactional expertise, restructuring insights, and collaborative leadership.

Throughout his career, Evan has advised both public and privately held companies and worked closely with management teams, boards of directors, equity sponsors, and creditor groups across the capital structure. His experience spans a wide range of industries and includes numerous cross-border mergers and acquisitions, as well as balance sheet restructurings.

Before joining CMA, Evan served as a Senior Vice President at RBS Greenwich Capital, where he focused on corporate finance and advisory solutions. Earlier in his career, he worked at Lehman Brothers, most recently as a Vice President advising on mergers and acquisitions. He began his career at Meyercord Advisors Inc., a boutique turnaround advisory firm, where he supported the restructuring, purchase, and sale of several businesses.

Evan earned a B.S. in Finance from Rutgers University and an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, graduating with honors. He is a FINRA General Securities Principal.

Evan has been widely recognized for his leadership in restructuring the investment banking industry. He was named by Turnaround & Workouts as one of the “Top Ten People to Watch” and has been recognized by the Global M&A Network on multiple occasions as one of the Top 100 Restructuring Investment Bankers.
