Marc Pfefferle serves as a Senior Advisor and interim executive to companies in transition or facing significant operational, financial, or capital structure challenges. With more than 30 years of restructuring experience, Marc has advised over 200 companies and has served as CEO, Chief Restructuring Officer, Federal Trustee, or in comparable leadership roles at more than 20 organizations.
Marc brings deep operating and restructuring expertise across a broad range of industries, including industrials, services, consumer, restaurant, retail, food & beverage, and healthcare. He has also served as a restructuring advisor, independent director, and board chairman. In addition, Marc has represented dozens of lender and creditor groups in large and complex restructurings, where his hands-on operating approach and ability to rigorously challenge business plan assumptions have contributed to successful recovery outcomes.
Mr. Pfefferle specializes in strategic business repositioning, complex operational improvement initiatives, debt restructurings, and M&A processes, both in and out of court. He is a pragmatic, execution-focused leader known for motivating management teams, driving cultural change, and working effectively with owners, boards of directors, private equity sponsors, lenders, and other stakeholders across the capital structure.
Prior to joining CMA, Marc was a Partner at Marigold Associates, a strategic management consulting firm serving Fortune 100 companies. Earlier in his career, he was a Consulting Manager at Price Waterhouse LLP.
Marc holds a B.S. in Engineering and an MBA from Lehigh University. He has served on numerous boards of directors and is a Certified Turnaround Professional. He is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute and has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Global Restructuring Professionals by the Atlas Turnaround Awards.
