Brock Hudson brings deep oil & gas industry knowledge and transactional expertise to mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and capital-raising engagements across the energy sector. With a career spanning asset management, private equity–backed operations, and investment banking, he offers clients a rare combination of hands-on operating experience and capital markets insight.

Prior to joining CMA, Brock served as Manager of the Houston E&P/Midstream Group and Senior Vice President of Energy Capital Markets at Amegy Bank, where he led a team of eight professionals and oversaw a $2.2 billion loan portfolio. Earlier in his career, he managed oil & gas investments for multiple family offices through JMI Energy Inc., Entre Energy Partners, CMR Energy, Llewellin Operating Company, Llewellin Investment Company, and Red Arrow Energy. During this period, he participated in raising $170 million in investment capital, deploying $190 million in direct oil & gas investments, and harvesting $489 million in invested assets.

Brock also spent ten years with Torch Energy Advisors, where he served as Vice President of Special Projects and as President of several Torch subsidiaries, including Torch Capital Corporation, Torch Royalty Corporation, and Sunset Services. Earlier in his career, he spent eight years with Torch Energy, followed by ten years as a principal and founder of several private equity-backed entities, further strengthening his operational and investment perspective within the oil & gas sector.

Brock earned a B.S. in Earth Sciences from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of Texas. He is a board member of the Houston Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and is a FINRA Registered Representative (Series 63, 79, and 82).
