Having owned, operated, and ultimately sold his own businesses, Warren Feder brings a true owner’s mindset and investor discipline to every transaction. He understands firsthand the significance of these decisions and works relentlessly to deliver the right outcome, partnering clients with the right buyers and maximizing value while preserving legacy. Warren has executed numerous middle-market sales, financings, and restructurings and brings deep sector experience across food, personal products, energy services and infrastructure, home furnishings, manufacturing, marketing services, financial services, business services, building products, and healthcare.
Prior to joining CMA, Warren was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stepping Stone Capital, and its predecessor, Gordon Brothers Capital LLC, a specialty finance company focused on short-term debt investments. Earlier in his career, he served as Chief Executive Officer of his family-owned health and beauty aid manufacturing business, where he led the company’s growth and ultimately its successful sale.
Warren began his career as an attorney at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, where he practiced corporate law, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and leveraged buyouts in the firm’s New York and London offices.
Warren has been deeply involved in professional and charitable organizations. He served on the Board of Trustees of The Gateway Schools, including twelve years as Chairman. He has also served as a board member and Treasurer of the New York Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, a member of the management committee and board of directors of the Turnaround Management Association, and a board member of the Commercial Finance Association. He was honored by the Accountants, Bankers, and Finance Division of the American Jewish Committee and was named a 2022 Top 50 Investment Banker by Global M&A Network.
Warren graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Williams College, earned a J.D. from New York University School of Law, and holds an M.A. in Philosophy from NYU’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. He is a FINRA General Securities Principal.
